Über A Way Out
Leo wants out. Vincent wants answers. A Way Out puts two players on opposite sides of that bargain — each controlling one convict through a prison break that turns into a road story about trust, resentment, and what happens when the escape plan starts costing more than freedom.

There is no solo campaign. From Hazelight (the studio behind Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons), split perspectives are the design, not a side mode. One player distracts while the other pries open a window; later, chases and dialogue land differently depending on who you are holding the stick for. Cooperation is mandatory — agreement is optional.
Choices that travel with you
Early hours stay close to coordinated breakout beats: timing windows, improvised tools, whispered plans. Then A Way Out widens past the walls. Decisions echo forward without a flashing morality meter — favour Vincent’s impatience and Leo may pay later. Both players see every chapter; nobody waits on a solo side quest before the story moves.

Cinematic set pieces interrupt quieter walking-and-talking stretches, so pacing stays closer to an interactive film than a loot loop. The campaign is finite — built for an evening (or a few) with a friend who likes story games but will not commit to a hundred-hour grind.

After the breakout, Hazelight’s later couch adventures include It Takes Two and Split Fiction. Soft co-op puzzle nights suit Unravel 2 and Unravel, while shared-world sailing with a crew points to Sea of Thieves: 2026 Edition.
Couples and flatmates hunting a two-player story with a clear ending — not an endless online grind — get what A Way Out was built for: Leo, Vincent, and a prison break that refuses to stay simple.
