Destiny was released by Bungie, the studio that created Halo, in 2014. It blends first-person shooting with the loot and progression of an online RPG. Players are Guardians, resurrected by small robotic Ghosts to protect the Last City beneath the mysterious Traveler.
Destiny 2 launched in 2017 and became free to play in 2019, with paid expansions such as Forsaken, The Witch Queen and The Final Shape continuing the long saga of light against darkness. You pick one of three classes, Titan, Hunter or Warlock, and chase better weapons and armour through strikes, raids and competitive Crucible matches.
Built for fireteams
The six-player raids are the heart of the endgame, with complex mechanics that require real teamwork. Destiny game keys and expansions unlock more of that story and the activities around it.
