Far Cry game keys: open worlds with a villain at the centre
The first Far Cry was made by Crytek in 2004 and showed off huge tropical environments on PC. Ubisoft then took the series over, and Far Cry 2 in Africa set the tone for what came later: a large open world, improvised combat and a strong sense of place.
Memorable antagonists
Far Cry 3 introduced Vaas and his speech about the definition of insanity, and since then each main game has been built around a striking villain: Pagan Min in the Himalayas of Far Cry 4, the Seed family cult in rural Montana in Far Cry 5, and Antón Castillo in the Caribbean of Far Cry 6. Spin-offs such as Blood Dragon and Primal tried bolder ideas.
You can take outposts quietly with a bow or loudly with explosives, hunt wildlife for crafting and play much of the campaign in co-op. Far Cry game keys give you a shooter where the world itself is half the fun.
