About Venba
Venba is a narrative cooking game developed and published by Visai Games. Steam release date: 31 July 2023.
You play as Venba, a Tamil mother who moves to Canada with her family in the 1980s. Through a series of chapters you cook authentic South Indian dishes like idli, dosa and biryani, piecing together recipes from a damaged old cookbook and your own memories, which makes every meal a small puzzle. Between dishes, branching conversations reveal the warmth and the tensions of a family finding its place in a new country, from a mother's hopes to a son growing up between two cultures.
