The heart of the series is the Nanosuit, which lets you switch between modes such as armour, cloak, strength and speed. That gives you real freedom: sneak past a patrol, punch through a wall or fight head-on. The first game is set on a North Korean-occupied island invaded by aliens known as the Ceph, Crysis 2 moves the fight to New York, and Crysis 3 returns to an overgrown, ruined New York years later. Remastered versions were released for modern systems.
