About Crysis Warhead
Crysis Warhead is a standalone first-person shooter from Crytek, released in 2008, which tells a new story running in parallel with the events of the original Crysis. You play Sergeant Michael Sykes, known as Psycho, a hard-edged British special forces soldier fighting on the other side of a North Korean held island. No copy of the first game is needed to start this adventure.
Your greatest weapon is the Nanosuit. Switch between strength, speed, armour and cloak to approach each fight in your own way: sneak past patrols unseen, overpower enemies at close range or soak up fire while you push forward. The open jungle levels reward experimenting with every power, and the cloak makes it possible to slip around a fortified camp and strike from an unexpected angle.
The campaign is packed with variety. You take the wheel of tanks, hovercraft and other vehicles, battle through dense jungle, ruined villages and frozen landscapes, and face both soldiers and alien forces. Weapons can be customised on the fly with attachments, and dual-wielded pistols suit Psycho’s aggressive style perfectly. Crytek’s technology delivers lush vegetation, destructible shacks and dramatic explosions that still look striking today.
