After the events of the 2013 reboot, Lara Croft follows her father's research to Siberia, looking for the lost city of Kitezh and the secret of immortality – and runs straight into the paramilitary order Trinity. The game mixes wide hub areas with linear set pieces: you climb ice walls with axes, hunt animals for materials, craft arrows and gear at camps, and sneak or fight through enemy camps. Optional challenge tombs are back in force, with physics puzzles that reward skills Lara can't get elsewhere. Learning old languages from murals and documents slowly unlocks hidden caches across the map.
