About Qvadriga

Qvadriga is a tactical chariot racing game developed by Turnopia and published by Slitherine. It was released on Steam on 13 June 2014.

You run a four-horse chariot team in the circuses of the Roman world. Before each race you choose drivers, horses and chariot upgrades; on the track you give simple orders such as shaking the reins, whipping the horses, changing lanes or holding tight through the turn, while rivals try to block or attack your charioteer. Races can be played in paused, turn-based mode or as continuous real-time action. The campaign starts on modest provincial tracks and builds your fame step by step until the gates of the Circus Maximus finally open. Accidents happen, so keeping a replacement driver ready is part of the strategy.

Key Features

  • 43 historic circuses – From Greek oval hippodromes to classic Roman tracks of different sizes and shapes
  • Two ways to race – Pause-based turn mode or continuous real-time control
  • Team management – Train charioteers, buy horses, repair chariots and hire medics, craftsmen and vets
  • Six factions – Each faction grants its own team upgrades
  • Large campaign – Seven regions to travel through on the way to Rome

PC Version and Compatibility

The key activates the Windows version on Steam. Minimum requirements are Windows Vista, 7, 8 or 10, a 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, a DirectX 9.0c graphics card and 2 GB of free space, so it runs on almost any PC or laptop. The game is available in English only; there is no Polish, German, French, Italian or Spanish version. It is a single-player game played with mouse and keyboard.

Global Activation & What You Receive

You receive a digital Steam key for the standard game. It is a Global key with no regional restriction, so it works on a Steam account in any country. In the Steam client choose Games → Activate a Product on Steam, enter the code and the game is added to your library permanently.

Why Buy This Game?

Qvadriga suits players who enjoy thinking ahead more than fast reflexes. Every race is a small puzzle of positioning, horse stamina and risk, and the campaign adds a light management layer as your stable grows. The historical setting gives it a character few racing games have, and its very low hardware needs make it easy to play on older machines.
