About Field of Glory II: Medieval

Field of Glory II: Medieval is a standalone turn-based tactical wargame developed by Byzantine Games under designer Richard Bodley Scott and published by Slitherine. Released on Steam on 4 February 2021.

The game covers the High Middle Ages from 1040 to 1270, the era of the armoured mounted knight and the couched-lance charge. You lead armies such as the Normans, France, the Holy Roman Empire, Scotland, Poland, the Teutonic Knights, Lithuania, Hungary or the Mongols through historical set-piece battles, what-if custom battles and campaigns across Northern and Central Europe. Forces follow historical orders of battle, and outcomes turn on formation, terrain, morale and the timing of the decisive charge, true to the tabletop roots of the series. You can play against the AI or against human opponents online.
