About The Light Brigade
The Light Brigade is a roguelike VR shooter from Funktronic Labs, published by Funktronic Labs and Creature Label and released on Steam in February 2023. You enlist in humanity's last line of defence and fight through procedurally generated battlegrounds, run after run, to free the souls of the fallen from the Obsidian Forces.
Gunplay is inspired by historical World War weapons. In VR you aim, fire and work the bolt of your rifle by hand, reload machine guns and pistols, and feel every shot. Light magic adds to your arsenal, from infusing bullets with light to raining fireballs on enemy squads, creatures and bosses.
Each run starts with a standard-issue rifle; you loot attachments such as scopes, silencers and explosive charms, plus tarot cards with stacking powers. If you fall, you must recover your soul or lose the run to permadeath. Rank points unlock upgrades, new classes, weapons and spells. After five major content updates, the game has received its final Definitive Edition update, and the Steam store page now carries that name.

PC Version and Compatibility
You activate the key on Steam. This is a VR-only game played with tracked motion controllers, and it supports Oculus PC and OpenXR headsets. The PC needs a 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 or newer, an Intel Core i5 (Sandy Bridge) or equivalent, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon 290 and only 500 MB of storage. It is single-player with Steam Cloud. Supported languages are English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. There is no Polish version.
Global Activation & What You Receive
You receive a digital Steam key for the game, which on Steam is now The Light Brigade: Definitive Edition. This Global key can be activated on Steam accounts in any region. Please note: this key must be activated on Steam by the end of June 2027. Once redeemed, the game stays in your Steam library permanently. To redeem it, choose Games → Activate a Product on Steam in the Steam client and enter the code.
