About Aragami 2
Aragami 2 is a third-person stealth action game developed by the Barcelona studio Lince Works and released in 2021. You play as an Aragami, a member of an ancient clan of warriors who have the power to bend shadows to their will. A mysterious affliction has struck the clan, and the remaining Aragami have taken refuge in a hidden village in the Rashomon valley. Around them, the forces of the Akatsuchi empire are tightening their grip on the region, and it is up to you to strike back from the darkness to protect your people.
Stealth is at the core of the experience. You move between rooftops, bushes and shadows, observe guard patrols and decide how to approach each objective. Shadow abilities let you vanish from sight, quickly reach high ledges, distract enemies and take them down silently. You can sneak past entire camps without being seen or choose to remove threats one by one, and the game rewards both patient planning and quick improvisation. When things go wrong, a more developed melee system with blocking, parrying and dodging lets you fight your way out, though open combat is always risky.
The village serves as your hub between missions. There you accept new contracts, talk to other members of the clan and prepare for the next operation. Completing missions earns experience and resources that unlock new skills and powers, while different armour sets and weapons can be equipped and customised to suit your play style. Each region of the valley contains several missions with varied objectives, from eliminating targets and rescuing allies to stealing documents, and you can return to them to improve your rank and approach them in new ways.
The whole campaign can be played alone or in online co-op with up to two friends, supported across platforms. Working together lets you coordinate takedowns, revive fallen partners and split up to cover more ground, which gives familiar missions a fresh twist. Full controller support is available, though mouse and keyboard work just as well. With its striking Japanese-inspired setting, moody lighting and flexible stealth mechanics, it is an excellent choice for players who enjoy hiding in the shadows and outsmarting their enemies.
