About DRAPLINE

DRAPLINE is a single-player roguelite training game in which you raise a dragon girl who eats anything and train her to become the strongest in one year. It was created by the solo indie developer KANAWO, published by Vaka Game Magazine and released for Windows on 23 September 2026. The girl is known as the Divine Dragon, and she is the only hope of preventing the World’s Doom that is set to arrive when the year is over. Everything you do in that year shapes how strong she becomes and what kind of dragon she turns into.

Feeding is the heart of the training. This food-loving dragon eats anything and transforms it into her own power, so meat and fish are only the beginning. Rocks, iron and, in her eyes, even lava, mountains and other people’s houses become fine delicacies. You pick what she eats, spend your time on training and watch her stats grow week by week on the calendar. Each choice costs time, and time is the one resource the year will never give back.

Battles test the build you have created. A mysterious enemy stands in the way, intent on bringing about the end of the world, and you decide how to face it. You can rely on powerful attacks, lean on defence and healing skills, or weaken the enemy gradually with poison. With over 200 different skills to combine, synergies are where the strategy lives, and no two runs need to play out the same way.

The dragon is a pure being who has only just been born, so you are nurturing her heart as well as her strength. Depending on how you raise her, her appearance and personality change over time. The people she meets and the way she spends her year decide which ending the story reaches, and the truth behind the calamity may eventually be revealed. Because she eats anything, raising her the wrong way has consequences of its own.

Replaying is built into the design. An ending can be reached in as little as about one hour, so trying a different training plan never feels like a big commitment. As you experience the year with the Divine Dragon again and again, her future branches into 25 different endings, which gives every new run a reason to exist. The game is rated USK 0 in Germany.
