About Eastside Hockey Manager

Eastside Hockey Manager, often shortened to EHM, is a hockey management simulation developed by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA, released in full on 1 December 2015 after a period of early access. It aims to be the most realistic, in-depth and immersive simulation of hockey management available, giving you the chance to manage either a club or a national team in any of the world’s top hockey-playing nations, from North America to Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.

You take full control of your roster and decide who to sign, who to trade and who to draft. Contracts, scouting, entry drafts and trades with other teams are all part of building a winning lineup, and lifelike trade negotiations let you gauge the interest of rival managers while your assistant offers feedback. Each team has its own needs: some will give up prospects for the veteran who makes them a contender, while others want to move high-earning veterans and rebuild through the draft.

Away from the players, you assemble the coaching staff by hiring coaches, scouts and physios. With everything in place you can employ a head coach to guide the team from behind the bench or take on the coaching duties yourself, creating detailed tactics for the whole team, a single unit or even one player. Matches can be followed live or as highlights in a top-down 2D engine with physics modelling, realistic deflections, shot-blocking, convincing player AI and a zoom mode for a closer look at the action.

The game world covers more than 30 playable domestic leagues and cup competitions from around the globe, each with up-to-date rules and league structures. Up to 30 players can compete head to head in the same game world, and support for user-made content such as custom databases and graphics adds lasting variety. EHM runs on very modest hardware, supports several screen resolutions and is available in English. It is rated USK 0 and PEGI 3.
