About Dicey Dungeons

Dicey Dungeons is a deckbuilding roguelike developed and published by Terry Cavanagh. Steam release date: 13 August 2019.

Lady Luck has turned six contestants into giant walking dice and dropped them into her game show dungeon. Each turn you roll your dice and slot them into equipment cards: a sword wants any number, a shield only a small one, a spell needs doubles. Between fights you pick routes on the floor map, buy gear and level up. The six characters play very differently, from the Thief who steals enemy cards to the Robot who plays push-your-luck blackjack for extra dice. The free Reunion update adds six new episodes, and Chipzel's soundtrack keeps the mood bright.

Related Games

Dicey Dungeons is really a puzzle about making the most of a bad roll, and Balatro is the game that took that thrill furthest, using poker hands and jokers to turn ordinary cards into enormous scores. Monster Train shares the run-based structure but adds a train to defend over several floors, rewarding players who like planning their synergies a few fights ahead. Dicefolk is the closest cousin here, a roguelike where you spin and reshape monster dice instead of simply rolling them. And Runeborn brings rune cards and runaway multipliers together for anyone who wants a shorter, punchier deckbuilder between longer Dicey runs.
