About Ocean Pressure

Ocean Pressure is a first-person underwater horror and exploration game developed and published by Ivan Huliakevich. Steam release date: 13 October 2023.

You play an ageing scientist who has built his own submarine to collect data about the deep sea. Inside the cramped cabin you steer by instruments and a small porthole, keep the systems running and put out fires when something breaks, while the sonar and the darkness outside hint at things far larger than you. Survival depends on staying calm and reacting quickly, and the 1980s setting, claustrophobic sound design and choices along the way make each dive tense.

Key Features

  • Home-built submarine – steer by instruments.
  • Deep-sea mission – gather research data.
  • Onboard emergencies – fires and failures.
  • Lurking creatures – something big below.
  • Claustrophobic – tight cabin, dark water.

Ocean Pressure suits players who like short, atmospheric horror built on isolation rather than gore. The key is available at Urazon. Age rating: USK 16.

Related Games

Anyone who came out of Ocean Pressure wanting more time in the deep should look at Subnautica, which swaps the horror focus for survival and crafting but captures the same unease of sinking past the last of the sunlight. Its follow-up, Subnautica: Below Zero, moves to icy waters and adds a stronger story, while keeping the leviathans that make every dark trench feel risky. If the cramped cabin and constant repairs were the best part, Barotrauma puts you and a crew inside a failing submarine on an alien ocean, where leaks and fires are as dangerous as anything outside. Murky Divers keeps things short and frightening: a co-op deep-sea dive where you collect samples while something keeps watching from the dark.
