About Dicevaders
Dicevaders is a dice-based roguelike deckbuilder in which you lead an alien invasion of Earth. It was developed by Pengonauts, published by Playstack and released on 29 September 2026 for Windows and macOS. The pitch is playful: humanity had a good run, and now it is time to take back what is yours. Each run asks you to grow an invading force on a turn-based grid, and the game is built around the idea that your tactical decisions, far more than luck, determine the fate of the planet. Its tagline sums it up neatly: lead the invasion, master the dice and break the game.
Building your invasion is the first layer. Every turn you can acquire different units, artifacts, budges and Chrono, then place your invaders on the grid to raise your scoring potential. Placement matters a great deal, because units feed into each other and a smart arrangement multiplies what every die can do. As the run goes on the force keeps growing, and the decisions get more interesting as the shop offers new pieces that may or may not fit the plan you have in mind. Each choice is a small puzzle about where a unit will do the most damage to the defenders.
Dice are your most powerful tool here, and the game hands you ways to bend them. With Chrono you can strategically reroll your dice and restock the shop to draft the units you need most, which can transform a bad roll into an unstoppable chain reaction. Budges let you manipulate a throw to build the exact combo you want, and aligning dice in pairs, triples or quadruples ignites devastating combos. Each commander brings a distinct strategic approach, specialised synergies and XP scaling, along with unique perks and artifacts, so every run opens new ways to push your attack score higher.
Earth will not fall without a fight. The legendary pilots from StarVaders show up to protect the planet, each armed with unique abilities designed to disrupt your invasion, so you need to adapt and keep changing your plan. The real fun lies in experimenting with absurd synergies and pushing the systems to their limit until you discover a broken combo that launches your score into orbit. The game is rated USK 6, supports controllers fully and offers adjustable difficulty, keyboard-only and mouse-only play and custom volume controls.
