About Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is a real-time strategy game developed and published by Frontier Developments. It launched on Steam on 17 November 2023.

Set in the savage Realm of Ghur, the game puts you in command of four factions: Stormcast Eternals, Orruk Kruleboyz, Nighthaunt and the Disciples of Tzeentch. The story campaign was co-written by Black Library author Gav Thorpe, while the Conquest mode sends you across procedurally generated wildlands. Battles focus on capturing control points, positioning units and countering enemy squads rather than sprawling base building, which keeps matches short and tactical. A map editor and a full army painter let you customise battlefields and miniatures.

Why Buy This Game?

Realms of Ruin is a compact, fast-paced take on Warhammer strategy that respects your time. Matches revolve around a few control points, so every unit counts and fights are easy to read. The campaign is a good introduction to the Age of Sigmar setting, and the painter and map editor give the game a long life after the story ends.
