About 198X
198X is a retro arcade action game developed and published by Hi-Bit Studios. Steam release date: 20 June 2019.
Growing up in the suburbs of the 1980s, the Kid finds an escape in the neon glow of the local arcade. 198X follows that story between the cabinets and switches between five arcade-style games as it goes: a side-scrolling beat 'em up, a shoot 'em up, a night-time racer, a ninja platformer and a first-person dungeon RPG. Detailed pixel art and a synth soundtrack tie it all together in a short campaign of about two hours.
