About Akimbot
Akimbot is a 3D action adventure platformer developed by Evil Raptor and published by PLAION in August 2024. You play as Exe, an outlaw robot, joined by his unexpected sidekick Shipset, as you blast your way through armies of robots, control spaceships and forge your own path on a mission to save the universe from impending doom. The setting is a sci-fi world where only robots exist, and the journey begins the way many great stories do, with a prison break.
The adventure takes you across stunning and colourful environments in the galaxy, where you jump, blast and drive your way to never seen planets. Each planet and spacetime has its own atmosphere, terrain and inhabitants to explore. Along the way the two outlaws race against Evilware, a former scientist set on causing chaos, and amid an intergalactic war they must uncover the truth while meeting a cast of crazy companions who help them step up as heroes.
Combat puts you in the role of a space gunner who sends robots back to infinity. You hone your skills and build up an arsenal to destroy diverse robot armies, including the devilish Abyssal aquatic army of Evilware. A varied range of weapons lets you optimise your fighting style in real time battles and space fights, and you can upgrade the artillery of Exe as you progress. The pace stays high, with explosions, jumps and vehicle sections mixed together.
It is a single player adventure that offers 51 achievements, cloud saves and full controller support. It runs on Windows 10 and supports English and French with full audio, plus Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Turkish and Brazilian Portuguese. The minimum setup needs an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X or equivalent, 16 GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon R9 380 or equivalent and 20 GB of storage.
