About Super Meat Boy Forever
Super Meat Boy Forever is the sequel to one of the most famous indie platformers of all time, created by Team Meat. It first appeared at the end of 2020 and arrived on this PC store in January 2022. The challenge of the original returns, but with a twist: Meat Boy is now always running. It is an auto-runner, so he cannot stop and will not stop, and your job is to time every jump, punch, slide and dive perfectly while the level races toward you.
The story takes place a few years after the first game. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl have been living a happy life free of Dr. Fetus and now have a little baby named Nugget. During a picnic, Dr. Fetus sneaks up, knocks the heroes out and kidnaps Nugget. When they wake up, they know exactly who to go after, and they decide never to stop until Nugget is home and Dr. Fetus has learned an important lesson through punches and kicks.
Levels are brutal and death is inevitable, which is exactly what makes clearing them so satisfying. Spinning saws, crumbling platforms, lasers and strange creatures fill each stage. A respawn takes only a moment, so you learn a section, fail, try again and finally glide through it in one clean run. Two simple controls carry everything: jump and an attack that becomes a dive in the air or a slide on the ground. Bosses at the end of each world test everything you have learned so far.
What makes this sequel special is its replay structure. The team created thousands of handcrafted level chunks and combines them into new levels, each with its own secret locations. When you finish the game, you can start again and play a whole new set of stages, and you can repeat that several times before seeing a duplicate. Familiar settings mix with totally new worlds, and the soundtrack keeps the pace high. Super Meat Boy Forever has 36 achievements and is rated 16.
