My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery is a bright and cheerful adventure for one or two players, built around the friends from the latest generation of the beloved franchise. It is developed by Drakhar Studios and published by Outright Games, a publisher known for family titles based on popular brands, and it launched on PC in May 2024. The game follows on from the earlier Maretime Bay adventure and moves the action up into the clouds.
Strange magic is turning the world of Equestria upside down. Phones are changing into pizza, gravity keeps breaking and splashes of colour appear everywhere, and the trouble seems to centre on Zephyr Heights, the gleaming pegasus city in the sky. It is up to you and your pony friends to uncover the source of the unstable magic and bring order back to the city through teamwork and the power of friendship.
You can play as Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Pipp, Zipp and Misty, and each pony has special abilities that help you explore. Zipp soars through rings in the sky, Sunny dashes across dusty arenas and the others open up their own paths through town. Along the way you meet pegasi who need help, hunt for special collectibles hidden on rooftops and in plazas, and pose for photo opportunities with your favourite characters.
The adventure is broken up by lively minigames such as Pipp’s Photo Shoot, Hitch on the trail and Sunny’s Smoothie Delivery, which work well for younger players and add friendly competition when two play side by side. A wardrobe full of accessories lets you dress your ponies in your own personal style. The whole story can be shared in local co-op on one screen, which makes it a relaxed choice for a parent and child or two siblings. The game is rated 12 under the strictest board in our listing.
