About Bit Blaster XL

Bit Blaster XL is an arcade shoot 'em up developed and published by Adamvision Studios. Steam release date: 22 January 2016.

Bit Blaster XL is a love letter to the coin-op shooters of the 1980s. Your ship never stops moving, so the whole game is about steering: turn, boost and brake to slip between enemies and their bullets while your guns fire on their own. Ammo and power-ups appear around the arena, from heat-seeking missiles and lasers to spread shots, bombs and shields, and grabbing them at the right moment can clear a crowded screen in seconds. Coins earned along the way unlock new ships, each with its own speed, fire rate and shield strength, so it pays to try different styles. Rounds are short and the controls are simple, but surviving longer as the waves get thicker takes real skill. Online leaderboards and achievements give you a reason for one more try.
