About Dome Keeper
Dome Keeper is a roguelike survival miner developed by Bippinbits and published by Raw Fury, released in 2022. It grew out of the earlier Dome Romantik and returns with updated pixel art, atmospheric music and sound, and more of everything. Stranded on a hostile alien world, you protect a fragile glass dome from wave after wave of attacks, and between those attacks you head underground to dig for the valuable resources that keep you alive.
The game is built around three steps. First you dig, drilling tunnels beneath the dome in search of precious materials while keeping an eye on the timer, because you have to be back before the next wave arrives. Every trip raises the same questions: how deep can you go this time, and how much can you carry back? The deeper layers hold richer finds, but every extra second spent mining is a second the dome stands without its keeper.
Then you defend. When the monsters arrive you take control of the dome's defences and fend off the attackers, which come by air and over the ground, some slow and some fast. Choosing which targets to deal with first is essential, because they will tear the dome apart if left alone. Finally you develop, spending your mineral harvest on powerful upgrades: a stronger weapon, a more powerful drill, a faster jetpack and other research, plus artifacts that give an extra boost to your odds of survival.
Each run takes you to a new world, so the loop of mining, defending and upgrading stays fresh while the waves grow tougher. The GOG version runs on Windows 10 or newer, supports controllers, achievements and cloud saves, and is available in nineteen languages with audio and text.
