About Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise is the full standalone hunting game from CAPCOM. You play a hunter on new maps, learn how each monster behaves, and bring materials home to craft weapons and armour. The Canada store release date is 20 January 2023.

Fourteen weapon types change the tempo, including the Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Lance, Bow and Bowguns. Wirebug silk pulls you up walls and across gaps, and each weapon has silk attacks of its own. A Palico and a Palamute hunt with you. Wyvern Riding lets you seize a monster and turn it on the target.

Kamura Village lives with the Rampage, a surge of monsters the villagers have feared for fifty years. The Hunter Hub posts quests for one hunter or a squad of up to four, and the store description says difficulty scaling keeps a solo hunt and a full squad on fair terms. The flagship wyvern named on the store page is Magnamalo.

The Xbox listing is single player, with online co-op and online multiplayer for two to four, plus cross-platform co-op, cross-platform multiplayer and Xbox Live cross-gen multiplayer. This Canada offer is the standard base game. Interface and subtitles cover English (United States), Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Arabic. Full audio is listed only for English (United States) and Japanese. Expansion and deluxe products sold beside it are separate.
