The game follows mining methods inspired by the real gold rush. You break rock, haul ore and separate gold from the soil with tools and machines, then smelt it into bars and sell them at the bank. Gold dust, flakes and nuggets each need their own refining process, and better gear unlocks as you go. Nine mines wait to be explored, from short expeditions to a large multi-level complex, and they are dangerous: place supports carelessly and a tunnel can come down on you.
