The whole game takes place inside a lovingly recreated early-2000s operating system: you double-click your way through folders, dodge voids, swat viruses, close spam pop-ups and take down bosses that look like they escaped from a dusty family PC.
Each run lasts roughly 30 to 40 minutes. You collect XP and keys by exploring folders and opening files, finish tasks and policies for bonuses, and shape your build with upgrades and plugins. Your weapons are the desktop itself, from Pinball and Solitaire to Mines and Firewall, and keygens unlock plugins that bend weapons and stats in odd directions.
Between runs, meta upgrades and more than 200 tasks unlock new files, weapons and plugins, while 81 wallpapers and 8 themes let you dress up your virtual desktop. It is a short-session game with a big dose of Y2K nostalgia.
