About Aquarist

Aquarist is a relaxing aquarium simulator developed by FreeMind S.A. and published by FreeMind S.A. and PlayWay S.A., with its full release on 29 March 2024. Creativity meets business management here: you design, build and manage aquariums, care for exotic aquatic animals, complete unique customer jobs and run your own aquarium store. The career starts in a dusty basement workshop with a single small tank and grows step by step into a spectacular oceanarium.

Building is at the heart of the game. You choose tank sizes, layouts, decorations, plants, rocks, backgrounds and equipment, and you can create anything from a peaceful nature-inspired aquascape to a luxurious underwater exhibit. Every aquarium is fully customizable, and the background can even use your own photos. Freshwater and saltwater setups are both available, so you can experiment with endless design possibilities and create unique displays that reflect your imagination.

The animals need real care. You look after tropical fish, sharks, rays, sea turtles, octopuses, shrimp, cuttlefish, arapaima, corals and many more creatures, maintaining proper water conditions and feeding them so every species can flourish. Customer orders take you to museums, bars, restaurants, private homes and unusual locations around the world, where you build turtle habitats, create decorative piranha tanks and renovate neglected aquariums. No two jobs are the same, and each one introduces new mechanics and rewards.

Money from finished projects unlocks new equipment, rare fish and decorations, and as your reputation grows you expand into larger buildings: exhibition halls, an aquatic museum and finally a massive oceanarium filled with marine life. The game is played in first person at your own pace with no timed inputs, and it offers full controller support, cloud saves, achievements and trading cards. English and Polish come with full audio. Aquarist is rated USK 0.
