About Bye Sweet Carole
Bye Sweet Carole is a narrative horror adventure developed by Little Sewing Machine and published by Maximum Entertainment in October 2025. It comes from Chris Darril, the creator behind a well known horror series, and it is drawn entirely by hand in the style of classic animated films. You follow Lana Benton, a young girl who refuses to accept that her dear friend Carole Simmons has simply vanished, and who sets out to discover what really happened to her.
The story is set in early 20th-century England, during the years of the suffrage movement, and begins at Bunny Hall, a gloomy orphanage where the girls live under strict rules. From there the search leads into the kingdom of Corolla, a dreamlike place that looks charming at first glance and grows darker the deeper Lana goes. Its soft colours and storybook scenery hide cruel secrets, and every new area adds another piece to the mystery of the missing girl.
Lana is no fighter, so survival depends on hiding, running and thinking fast. The sinister Mr. Kyn stalks the corridors, the owl Velenia watches from the shadows, and strange tar bunnies roam the paths. You slip under beds, crouch in hiding spots and hold your breath when danger passes close, then solve puzzles to open the way forward. Tense chases alternate with quieter exploration, letting the hand-drawn scenes and the haunting music carry the emotion of the tale.
It is a single player adventure that offers 34 achievements, cloud saves and full controller support. It runs on Windows 10 (64 bit) and supports English and Italian with full audio, plus French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The minimum setup needs an Intel Core i3, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 770 and 15 GB of storage. The game holds a USK 16 rating and is ideal for players who enjoy dark fairy tales, hand-drawn animation, stealth based chases and story driven horror with a strong heroine at its heart.
