About The Beast Inside
The Beast Inside is a survival horror thriller from Illusion Ray Studio, released in 2019. It mixes an intriguing story-driven adventure with an unnerving survival horror experience, telling a tale of long-buried secrets, personal tragedies and madness. You play as two protagonists who live in different centuries but are bound by a dark heritage, and their stories move towards an inevitable crash.
Boston, 1979. Adam, a CIA cryptanalyst, leaves the city and moves to the countryside with his wife, Emma. His handlers fear they cannot keep him safe there, but Adam believes he needs a peaceful place in the woodland to crack a military code that may alter the course of the Cold War. The area turns out to be anything but peaceful.
In the attic Adam finds a mysterious diary written by Nicolas Hyde, a past resident of the same house who lived there in the 19th century. Once opened, the diary carries the nightmares of the past into Adam’s time and puts both him and Emma in great danger. You explore Blackstone, the forgotten domain of Hyde’s lineage, solve mysteries, collect clues, rely on a trusted revolver in lethal moments and decide how the story ends.
The settings were built with photogrammetry and 3D-scanned objects, and motion capture sharpens the horror. The Beast Inside runs on Windows 7 / 8 / 10 (64-bit) and is available in English, French, German, Polish, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Simplified Chinese, with achievements, controller support and cloud saves on GOG. It is a great choice for fans of psychological horror, players who love a mystery with two intertwined timelines, and anyone who enjoys a tense, atmospheric story. In tangled times, who will you trust?
