The story takes place in Tokyo in the near future. Whispers and rumours are spreading through the city like wildfire about a bizarre website that piques the interest of people willing to take extreme risks to fulfil their darkest desires. Corpse Girl’s Website supposedly allows users to request the death of someone they know. All that is required is a photo of the proposed victim. Once an image is uploaded, the website promises to snuff out the victim’s soul within a matter of days. Victims apparently receive a photograph of their own corpse before they are killed, time stamped with a date that might be a predicted time of death.
At first the website’s authenticity is questionable at best, an interesting topic of conversation and nothing more. Then people start dying in odd ways across the city, and every recent victim was found with strange photos of their own corpse, received only hours before they died. The cast brings this mystery to life, with Erika Harlacher as Noriko, Aleks Le as Kojiro, Brianna Knickerbocker as Aoi, Faye Mata as Tomoe, Sean Chiplock as Shinya, Kaiji Tang as Junpei and Anairis Quiñones as Emi, among others. The screenshots show the tension, from Noriko gasping on a bathroom floor to the Request a Death page glowing on a phone in a train.
