About Path of Giants
Path of Giants is a serene adventure puzzle game developed and published by Journey Bound Games, released on 14 February 2020. You guide three explorers, Bern, Matchi and Totch, on their quest for a lost treasure hidden somewhere on an icy mountain full of trials. The journey leads through frozen caverns, wooden towers and snow-covered cliffs, and the goal is simple: leave no one behind and hopefully find some gold at the end.
The heart of the game is swapping between the three explorers. Each one can stand on switches, climb to different heights and move through the level separately, so solving a puzzle means using their teamwork carefully. One explorer may hold a pressure plate while another crosses a bridge, and later puzzles ask you to plan several steps ahead with all three. Golden triangle gates, glowing tile boards and hidden shrines add variety as you climb.
Every level is carefully designed and hand-crafted to create chillingly beautiful scenes, from bright white peaks to dim icy caves. The puzzles are fun and challenging, with difficulty that grows steadily so newcomers and seasoned puzzle fans both find something to enjoy. A charming original score composed by Clark Aboud evokes a sense of calm as you explore this long forgotten area of the world, and adorable animations accompany the trio throughout.
