Serious Sam: Tormental is a 3D roguelite top-down shooter developed by Gungrounds with Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, fully released on Steam on 8 April 2022.
This time Sam fights inside the mind of Mental, the demigod of destruction, who dreams up worlds and monsters to block the path to his inner ego. Each run sends you through procedurally arranged rooms of deserts, dungeons and ice caves packed with enemies and bullet patterns. You pick up weapons, upgrades and perks, dodge, dash and blast your way to bosses, and when you fall you start again stronger. Local split-screen co-op lets a friend join the chaos, with full controller support and leaderboards.
