About Side Effects
Side Effects is a tense turn-based roulette game developed by hirohun, Mr.Pootsley, Jaybooty and Lofar42 and published by Free Lives. Steam release date: 21 November 2025.
Up to four test subjects, one twisted medical trial – and only one leaves. Each round in Side Effects presents a selection of pills: some help, some harm, and some mean instant death. You never know exactly what you are consuming or what it will do to your mind or body. Every pill affects your resistance, and zero resistance means you are out. Between rounds you choose experimental items and treatments, from vaccines to mouth clamps, to shift the odds, while the other patients bluff and adapt to keep breathing one dose longer than you. The game shows a roulette-like consumption of pharmaceuticals and violence, so it is meant for older players.
