About The Last Archwing
The Last Archwing is a fast-paced, vertically scrolling space shooter developed and published by Archwing Entertainment and released on 27 March 2020. You take the role of Chet Brickhouse, the sole survivor of Earth's defence fleet, and pilot the planet's most advanced star fighter against the advancing hordes of the invading Zarkhan Empire.
Each level comes with fully voiced dialogue sequences that bring the colourful characters and their world to life between the waves of combat. An entire fleet of unique enemies and bosses stands in the way, from small fighter formations to giant stations that sweep the screen with red laser beams. Up to four people can share the fight on one PC.
Destroyed enemies drop upgrade credits and power-up capsules. Credits are spent between levels to improve the ship's laser, shields and special abilities, while capsules charge the special meter. One charge performs a Barrel Roll that briefly makes the ship invincible, and a full meter fires the Super Death Wave, a powerful screen-clearing weapon. Several difficulty levels suit pilots of every skill, and hardcore mode allows only one life before your score goes to the leaderboards.
It runs on Windows 7 or later and supports English with full voice acting. The minimum configuration requires a 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium processor or equivalent, 2 GB of RAM, DirectX 11 and 250 MB of free disk space.
