About TransGenDeer

TransGenDeer is the complete standalone game, a hand-drawn educational platformer for one player. The journey follows a deer through transition while turning facts about transgender experiences and the LGBTQIA+ community into movement, encounters and questions.

Hugs from ally bears award transition points, while fact coins prepare you for the quizmaster octopus. A fortune-telling cat can bring a favorable or unfavorable turn, and tokens hidden around the levels provide another reason to explore beyond the direct route.

Character development is chosen from level to level, with points used to improve health and skills. Super Easy, Easy, Medium and Hard settings let the challenge be adjusted; the gentlest option makes the deer invincible and reduces the difficulty of overcoming enemies.

Play combines side-scrolling traversal, enemy encounters, collection and knowledge checks in a colorful journey built for a single player. Its educational subject is carried by hand-made graphics and animation, so learning and platforming remain part of the same experience.
