Their journey is told without words, and the bond between the stoic Blind One and the energetic Deaf One grows as they rely on each other to move forward.
You control only one character at a time, which means you can never use the senses of both of them at once. This gives you a unique perspective on how differently they perceive the world and how they support and complement each other. The Deaf One brings joy and energy to the slightly defensive and introverted Blind One, while the Blind One looks after his restless friend with his calm nature. In the world of the Weavelings, as in ours, those who lack one sense often have others that are sharper, and the puzzles ask you to discover these skills and prove that what was considered a weakness can be a mighty advantage.
The game takes place in a fairytale-like land of distinctive landscapes. Your path leads through caves full of glowing fungi, misty forests, natural basins, forgotten ruins and more, and the Weavelings carry lanterns through the dark as they explore. Along the way you uncover the mysterious past that has left their home teetering on the edge of destruction. To protect the village and the civilisation of the Weavelings, you must restore the steady flow of Resin, the life energy of every living creature in this world, and save the land from the advancing Rot. You can also peek into the Deaf One's sketchbook to see what he thinks of the whole ordeal.
