About 9 Kings
9 Kings is a roguelite kingdom builder by Sad Socket, published by Hooded Horse and Sidekick Publishing and released in May 2025. Build your city into the most powerful of all kingdoms through endless combinations of buildings, units, spells and positioning, prepare for dozens of unique events and outlast every rival in single-player and async multiplayer.
Your capital grows from humble village to massive citadel, recruiting knights, warlocks, wizards, bombers, imps, sentient mushrooms and more. Each king has a different starting deck, but you can loot rival kings who attack you to use cards from their decks – make peace or declare war to get the powers you covet. Async multiplayer pits you against eight rival kings, Quest mode adds rule-bending challenges, and Endless mode tests how long you can survive.
