About Escape Simulator 2

Escape Simulator 2 is a first-person escape room game developed and published by Pine Studio and released on 27 October 2025. It is the sequel to the best-selling original game and brings immersive new environments, deeper puzzles and more powerful builder tools, with locations crafted with the help of real escape room experts and legendary community builders.

Each room pack contains four rooms filled with intricate puzzles and hidden mysteries. In Dracula’s Castle you step into a shadowy fortress, explore a candlelit dining hall, uncover its secrets and free the town from a dark curse. On Starship EOS an exploration vessel is stranded after a collision, and you must retrieve an energy source from a mysterious dark sphere. The Cursed Treasure sends you after a cryptic map to a pirate island with stone tile puzzles, cannons and treacherous trials before you claim the ancient treasure.

Every detail is built for interaction, so the rooms feel like walking into a real escape room. You can pick up and examine objects, wipe away dirt, drive vehicles, take a seat wherever you like and move anything that is not bolted down. The mood is darker and more mysterious than in the first game, yet there are no jump scares or gore. The updated Room Editor 2.0 adds a new lighting engine, a Building Editor with working stairs and Sequence animations, so you can design your own dream rooms and share them through the Workshop.

The game runs on Windows 10 version 21H1 or newer (64-bit) and supports 15 interface languages, including English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Polish. The minimum setup requires an x64 processor with SSE2 instruction set support, 8 GB of RAM, a DX11 capable graphics card with 4 GB of memory, DirectX 11 and 20 GB of free disk space. It is rated USK 16 and suits players who enjoy logic puzzles, hidden clues, hands-on object interaction and building their own puzzle rooms.
