About Furi Demake: The Chain
Furi Demake: The Chain is a retro action mini game developed and published by The Game Bakers and released on 30 November 2023. It reimagines the first boss fight of Furi as a side-scrolling mix of shoot em up and hack and slash. The studio created it together with the solo developer Sylph as a gift to the community of the original game.
Your goal is simple: defeat The Chain, the first guardian, to escape your jail. The duel is ultra-fast and nervous, so you jump, shoot, dash, parry and slash while staying calm, evading the blows and counter-attacking at the right moment. The whole package is one boss fight that lasts 10 to 30 minutes, or longer on Furier difficulty or when you chase an S rank.
Designed as a love letter to 8-bit games, the demake uses simple controls with only three action buttons, old-school pixel art and catchy music from ODD that brings back the 1990s. Please note that the game contains flashing lights, and a controller is listed in the system requirements.
