About Magicka

Magicka is a satirical action-adventure game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Paradox Interactive. Steam release date: 25 January 2011.

Magicka is set in a rich fantasy world based on Norse mythology. You play a wizard from a sacred order tasked with stopping an evil sorcerer who has thrown the world into turmoil, his foul creations besieging the forces of good. Instead of picking spells from a menu, you combine eight elements such as fire, water, cold and lightning on the fly, creating hundreds of effects and unlocking powerful Magicks. Up to four players can team up in every mode, travelling from lush mountain valleys to the frozen halls of the Mountain King, though friendly fire means a careless spell can wipe out the whole party. The game gleefully parodies clichéd fantasy along the way.

Key Features

  • Dynamic spell system – combine eight elements.
  • Four-player co-op – in every game mode.
  • 13 campaign levels – plus challenge modes.
  • Unlockable Magicks – powerful special spells.
  • Fantasy satire – plenty of humour.
