About Retrowave

Retrowave is an arcade endless racer by the independent studio RewindApp, built around neon lights, palm trees and the pounding sound of synthwave. It imagines an idealised, futuristic version of the 1980s and puts you behind the wheel of a supercar on a highway that never ends.

Each run starts with a single car and a stretch of traffic to weave through, because even in this retro future the roads are busy. The money you earn at the end of a run buys performance upgrades, new paint colours, wheels and eventually other cars, so every attempt pushes you a little further.

The game counts 22 cars, more than 20 distinct universes and four game modes, all scored with over 45 synthwave tracks. Beyond solo runs, online PvP and global leaderboards let you compare scores with other drivers. The full release followed the Early Access period on 6 May 2022.
