About SEASON: A letter to the future
SEASON: A letter to the future is a narrative adventure developed and published by Scavengers Studio in January 2023. A young woman leaves her sheltered village for the first time and sets off on a bicycle road trip across a strange, beautiful land. A mysterious cataclysm is about to end the current season, and before it arrives she wants to collect memories of a world that may soon disappear.
Exploration and observation shape the journey. With her camera and sound recorder, she photographs landscapes, records music, voices and ambient noise, and gathers small details from ruins, valleys and quiet towns. Everything ends up in a customizable journal, where you arrange photos, notes and stickers into a personal record. Arches, aqueducts, giant stone heads and fields of purple flowers give the trip a soft, painterly look.
People matter just as much as places. Along the road you meet characters who each share their life story, their worries about the coming change and the traces left by older seasons. Listening carefully opens new questions, such as who the mysterious Dr. Fumio was, and gradually reveals what the cataclysm means for everyone still living in the valley.
It is a single player game that offers 16 achievements, full controller support and cloud saves. It runs on Windows 10 (64-bit) and supports English, French and Japanese with full audio, plus German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean. The minimum setup needs an Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 950 with DirectX 10 and 7 GB of storage. The game holds a USK 6 rating and is ideal for players who enjoy calm exploration, photography, thoughtful storytelling and journeys where every memory you keep has meaning.
