About The Dwarves

The Dwarves is a story-driven fantasy role-playing game developed by the German studio KING Art and published by THQ Nordic and EuroVideo Medien. It launched on Steam on 1 December 2016 for Windows, macOS and Linux and adapts the bestselling novel by Markus Heitz.

You follow the dwarf Tungdil, raised among humans, as he sets out across Girdlegard and is drawn into a war against orcs, ogres, älfs, undead and dark mages. Exploration happens on a large world map full of events and decisions, while fights play out as tactical real-time battles where a handful of heroes face hundreds of enemies. Crowd combat simulates every creature physically, so knockbacks, chokepoints and cliffs matter, and you can pause at any time to plan abilities. Fifteen playable heroes, each with individual skills, let you assemble different parties as the campaign unfolds.
