About Arx Fatalis
Arx Fatalis is a first-person role-playing game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It arrived on Steam on 3 April 2007 for Windows.
The sun has vanished from the world of Arx, and its peoples – humans, trolls, goblins and rat-men – have retreated into mines and caverns where food grows scarce and old wars flare again. Waking as a prisoner with no memory, you build your own champion by spending points on combat, armour, stealth and magic, then explore temples, cities and abandoned mines while the God of Destruction rises. Spells are cast by drawing runes in mid-air with the mouse, combining gestures into around 50 effects. Puzzles, non-linear quests and choices that change events lead to several different endings.
