About The Swindle

The Swindle is a steampunk stealth heist game developed and published by Size Five Games. Steam release date: 28 July 2015.

Set in a steampunk Victorian London, The Swindle has you breaking into buildings, hacking their security, emptying their safes and getting out before the police show up. Every building is randomly generated, so you never rob the same level twice, and each heist costs a day from a hundred-day countdown to steal a game-changing device from Scotland Yard. Back on your rickety airship, you spend the loot on new skills, gadgets and technology that let you tackle bigger buildings with better security. One mistake can cost a thief their life, so caution and quick improvisation both matter.

Key Features

  • Procedural heists – no building is robbed twice.
  • Hacking and stealth – beat guards, robots and alarms.
  • 100-day deadline – plan the big score.
  • Airship upgrades – new skills and gadgets.
  • Steampunk London – hand-painted Victorian style.

Related Games

The Swindle's procedurally generated break-ins have a close relative in Heat Signature, where you board randomly built spaceships to steal, sabotage and escape with clever improvisation. Katana ZERO matches its split-second, one-mistake-and-you're-dead tension with stylish, fast-paced action. If the thieving fantasy is the draw, Thief Simulator EU lets you case houses and plan burglaries at a slower, simulation-style pace, and Dead Cells delivers the same roguelite loop of dying, unlocking upgrades and trying again in ever-changing 2D levels.
