About Against the Storm

Against the Storm is Eremite Games’ dark-fantasy city builder, issued with Hooded Horse. You serve the Scorched Queen as Viceroy: the old world drowned under the Blightstorm, and only the Smoldering City still stands.

Work happens as a chain of forest camps. You open a site, pull blueprints from a random pool, and raise production before hostility and rain break resolve. When a settlement succeeds or fails, that map closes and you carry goods, citadel upgrades and hard-won knowledge into the next expedition.

Humans, beavers, lizards, foxes and harpies share the same muddy streets with different houses, meals and luxuries. Raincoats, ale and pies buy time. Favour one species and their craft flies; neglect another and they pack up while the Queen still wants reputation on the ledger.

Six biomes and hundreds of modifiers keep the next cornerstone from feeling copied. A trader arrives with a new cart, the forest hides caches and ancient threats, and the campaign stays single-player from first camp to last citadel stone.
