About Arcis Ultima
Arcis Ultima is an open world action RPG developed and published by Pear vs Apple and released in Early Access on 15 April 2022. It focuses on a war between humankind and creatures of unclear origin, and the story begins after the human race has already lost the main battle, leaving scattered towns to defend themselves.
A government still sends warriors to protect the remaining towns and to retake the lost ones, and you decide how deeply to get involved. The faction panel lists upcoming events with their time and the number of enemy and allied forces, so you can choose which battles to join and follow the overall war status.
Between battles you explore villages, forests and mountains, mine ores, collect herbs and hunt animals with traps. Potions can follow premade recipes or your own mixtures, the blacksmith forges equipment from the materials you choose, and villagers share history, quests and trade. Each body part has its own health, and stats such as strength and agility grow as you use them.
It runs on Windows 10 (64-bit) and supports English with full voice acting. The minimum configuration requires an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor, 8 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390 graphics card and 9 GB of free disk space. The game is rated USK 6 and suits players who enjoy medieval open world RPGs, crafting systems and choosing their own battles in a slowly developing Early Access project.
