BattleGroupVR is a real-time strategy space combat game for virtual reality, developed and published by SpaceOwl Games and released on 31 July 2023. You stand on the bridge of your own flagship and command a whole battlegroup of warships in fast tactical fleet battles to secure the sector.
Your fleet mixes corvettes, missile destroyers, electronic warfare science vessels, carriers and battleships, and each class brings its own role to the fight. Heavy cannons, missile launchers and point defense lasers decide every engagement, while positioning, timing and target choice turn a close battle in your favour. Try not to go down with the ship.
Between battles you upgrade load-outs, research components and train captains whose abilities shape how your ships perform. Units grow stronger over time and losses carry real weight, so careful command pays off. The interface is built for VR, letting you issue orders with tracked motion controllers from inside a fully realised command bridge.
