About Beyond Sunset
Beyond Sunset is a cyberpunk first-person shooter with a rich story and RPG elements, developed by Metacorp and Vaporware and published by Movie Games S.A. in September 2025. You play as Lucy, an enhanced street samurai who awakes from cryostasis with her memories lost in the confusing fog of hypersleep and immediately begins to manifest powerful abilities.
Lucy's talents are quickly recognized. A mysterious woman named Yuri offers her a deal: in exchange for getting her memories back, she must use her powers to become a street samurai in the crime-ridden, plague-stricken Sunset City. Her lightning-fast reactions, innate combat skills and near-supernatural agility make her the right person for the job.
You fight in large, open and interactive levels overtaken by yakuza, zombies, robots and bosses, combining a katana with firearms and cybernetic powers. Stylish neon streets, diners and rooftops give each area its own character, and RPG elements let you shape Lucy's abilities as the story about her lost past unfolds. Every encounter rewards quick movement and smart choices between blade and gun, so you can carve through close groups with the katana, pick off distant threats with firearms and use your powers to turn the tide when bosses appear.
