The aliens are back, and they still want the power cores that keep humanity's worlds running. In DG2 you place and upgrade towers along their routes, shaping the maze so the invaders take the longest path while your guns, lasers and cannons wear them down. Cores that get carried off can still be recovered if you stop the thief before it escapes, so no wave is lost until the last moment. The 21-map campaign continues the story of the first game with a cast of AI companions, and challenge modes, co-op, versus play and the DG Architect editor keep the game going long after the credits.
